  CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

  Entrepreneurship is old hat for Michelle – having successfully run and sold her first business, Misha K, before the age of 30. She now leads MomUp in its quest to connect organizations with the amazing resource of mothers. As a stay at home mom, Michelle discovered, like many of her friends, she wanted to continue her career path with businesses who value work/life balance. Michelle found herself surrounded by highly educated, skilled, energetic multi-tasking mega stars that were unemployed and looking for new and exciting challenges. She realized that by forging partnerships with progressive companies and connecting them with skilled talent MomUp could make a huge impact.

  Michelle holds a graduate degree from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.

  When she can, Michelle tries to sneak in teaching a yoga class on the side and she recently spent 6 weeks in New Zealand living in a camper van with her husband and 3 kids.

  REEM PAPAGEORGIOU
  CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER

  Reem’s superpower is people. Having emigrated from Lebanon at a young age, she learned to navigate the challenges of a new world quickly and her love of the intersection of culture and humanity was born. With her expertise in training and development, Reem spearheads the team that optimizes the process for connecting job seekers to well matched organizations. Her ability to assess and coach individuals  is the secret sauce to her success. Reem’s belief in harnessing the strengths and assets of moms led her to co-found MomUp.

  Reem received a dual Master’s degree in Social Work and Public Health from Boston University. Following her social work career, Reem worked as both an intercultural trainer and  training consultant to non and for profit businesses, health care organizations and municipalities.  She is skilled in training and development including leadership coaching and has extensive experience in research and consultation.  Reem has published several articles centered around workplace development and company culture and is a well-known public speaker centered around the power of moms.

  When Reem takes a break from being a mom, she dreams of traveling the world and discovering a solution to the nightly demand of dinner.

  Senior Recruitment Manager

  Katie has always possessed a love for creating connections and opportunities. Before joining MomUp, she spent over a decade working for a large non-profit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization. During this time, she developed important relationships with educational institutions and employers, which created valuable study and work experiences for students. Katie has held positions in sales, account management, project management, and international recruitment.

  Katie holds a B.A. in English and Communication from the University of Maine. Her strong interpersonal communication skills are essential in her work discovering amazing talent. She brings her genuine love for seeing people succeed to her role at MomUp.

  As a mom of two, Katie understands the unique juggling act of life as a working mom. Most recently, prior to joining the MomUp team, she worked with MomUp to find a flexible part-time job which allowed her more time to focus on her family. In addition to her enthusiasm for travel, Katie enjoys running and playing soccer.

  VP of Strategic Partnerships

  Janelle has a passion for creating community and authentic connections.  Prior to joining MomUp, Janelle spent years working for large technology and engineering companies where she worked in the fields of aviation, electrical protection and solar.  It was during this time that Janelle saw firsthand the number of women leaving the corporate workforce mid-career, a decision she ultimately made herself shortly after the birth of her second child.  It was at this time that Janelle’s curiosity was born about how harness all the brainpower of these amazingly smart women and how to connect them to businesses who value work/life balance and the contributions women in leadership bring to organizations.  Janelle discovered MomUp when she was ready to jump back into the workforce and instantly connected with the mission.

  Janelle holds an MBA from Bentley University and a BS from WPI.

  As a mom of two, you can find Janelle on the sports sidelines either as a spectator or as a coach of her daughter’s soccer team.  When she’s not on the sidelines, she can be found planning the next family adventure, enjoying a good book, or walking with her energetic goldendoodle Winnie.
